About

My name is Michelle Passfield

I am a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified professional, with expertise in marketing planning, strategy and communications. My extensive marketing career of nearly three decades includes working in both the public and private sectors, with 15 years spent working for London-based international law firms and a marketing agency. Plus, I have worked for Anglia Ruskin University and as a senior marketing communications adviser for a local authority.

I launched my Southend-based marketing business, withMichelle in 2019, providing strategic marketing planning advice and training for clients. I pride myself on writing marketing plans that benefit my clients, providing them with clarity on the marketing they should be doing to grow their businesses profitably. Plus, training clients to develop and improve their marketing skills.

My vast experience also includes organising and hosting events, more recently my new withMichelle event series that provides a unique opportunity to connect with people.

I love marketing!

Some other stuff about me!

In 2023 I became a member of the Focal Point Gallery Advisory Group, a contemporary visual arts organisation in Southend-on-Sea. I am an official marketing tutor at Create98, an events venue in Leigh-on-Sea.

I am also involved with supporting and advising on Southend-based communities and projects, including Metal Arts, film, local charities, non-profit organisations and B.A.B.E (Black and Being Essex). In 2023 I featured in the Leigh Art Trail with Estuary Writers. Plus, was one of the speakers at a Black History Month event.

I live in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, with my husband, Mark. Aside from running a business, my passions are film, music, the arts, coffee catch-ups, living by the seaside and playing over 40s women’s walking football!
