About me

My name is Michelle Passfield.
I am withMichelle!

I am a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified professional, with expertise in marketing planning, strategy, communications and business development.

I launched my Southend-based marketing business, withMichelle, in 2019, providing strategic marketing planning advice and skills training for small businesses.

My extensive marketing career spans nearly three decades. I have worked in both the public and private sectors, spending 15 years with London-based international law firms and a marketing agency. I have also worked for Anglia Ruskin University and Southend-on-Sea City Council.

My vast experience also includes organising and hosting events, from training seminar programmes, to conferences, exhibitions and networking. I’ve also managed corporate hospitality events at major galleries and venues across London, including The Tate, the National Point Gallery, the V&A and the Globe Theatre.

Why do I do what I do?

I pride myself on giving my clients the clarity and confidence they need to market and grow their businesses successfully. And because …

I love marketing!

Some other stuff about me.

When I moved to Westcliff-on-Sea from Chelmsford. Essex in 2007, I soon immersed myself in the local creative and cultural communities, regularly attending events and participating in projects. This led to me becoming a member of the Focal Point Gallery‘s Advisory Group Panel and a member of the Estuary Festival’s Advisory Board.

I enjoy supporting community projects, charities and non-profit organisations across Southend-on-Sea. One of my proudest achievements was launching ‘WellbeingMatters’ in 2018, a support group for those suffering with mental health issues in the workplace. This led to me co-producing a mental health short film ‘Circle of Support’, which featured in the 2019 Southend Film Festival.

I am a member of Black and Being Essex CIC (B.A.B.E), which is a community of 240 black, mixed-race women and non-binary people throughout Essex. I have featured as a speaker for Black History Month events. Plus, I am a mentor for the Ambitious Women in Essex Network’s Minority Ethnic Scheme.

Health & wellbeing is very important to me, so I make time for weekly visits to boxing training and Reformer Pilates. Plus, time with my husband, family and friends.
